Dillingham, Alaska, is a city located in the Dillingham Census Area in southwestern Alaska. It is situated on Nushagak Bay at the mouth of the Nushagak River, an inlet of Bristol Bay, which is an arm of the Bering Sea in the North Pacific.

The city, with a population of about 2,200, is an important commercial fishing port. It welcomes both the commercial fishing industry and a sizable number of summer visitors. Sport fishing is a major draw. Dillingham is the gateway to Wood-Tikchik State Park, the largest and most remote state park in the U.S., spanning almost 1.6 million acres.

Dillingham is not connected to the Alaska road system, however, it is accessible by air and sea. Dillingham Airport is served by regional as well as national airlines. The city is also served by the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system, which provides regular service to other communities in the region.
