What's Happening in Sitka 4-H?

Sitka 4-H program offerings vary each year depending on volunteers and interest but
in Sitka there is no doubt that Sitka 4-H has a strong connection to the environment
and place based learning. Some of our recent highlights have been: birding, gardening,
woodworking, archery, riflery, and kayaking. One of our long-lasting projects is run
by the Sitka Conservation Society, the Alaska Way of Life 4-H project which connects
youth to the natural environment of the Tongass National Forest. This 4-H project
focuses on teaching youth how to live with the land and sea, the Alaskan way.
