Starting a native berry patch topic of hands-on Anchorage class

A hands-on class in Anchorage will teach participants how to plan and start a native berry patch, both from seeds and cuttings. 

The berry patch workshop is from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at the Anchorage Museum鈥檚 Seed Lab, 111 W. 6th Ave. in Anchorage. The lab is sponsoring the workshop in partnership with the 果酱视频 Cooperative Extension Service.

Josh Smith of Bear Mountain Forest Nursery in Chugiak will lead the workshop and help participants plant seedlings to take home. Tools and materials will be provided. There is a $5 materials fee.
