Renewable Resources Extension Act (RREA) Program
program provides forestry and natural resource extension services at land-grant institutions, including the ¹û½´ÊÓƵ.
Forests play an integral role in the state's food, social and economic systems. For millennia, forests in Alaska has been, and will continue to be, stewarded by the people indigenous to these lands. In Alaska today, forested land is managed and cared for by various entities, including Native, state, federal, local and private entities.
Through research-based outreach and education, the RREA program provides information to landowners and the public in an effort to sustain productive forest systems across various land ownerships and interests.
The RREA Program works state-wide and is partnered with those who conduct forestry research and extension programming at the ¹û½´ÊÓƵ, including the Cooperative Extension Service, , and OneTree Alaska.
