Miter Saw

Miter saw

 

Setup:

  1. Put on Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs

  2. Mark material with a pencil and speed square for desired cut

  3. Unlock saw by pushing down saw and pulling the locking pin

Sawing:

  1. Plug in saw

  2. Square material up against fence

  3. Hold material at least 6鈥 away from the blade

  4. Start saw by pulling trigger and slowly bring the saw down through the material

  5. Once saw has cut all the way through material, shut off saw and bring blade up

Clean up:

  1. Unplug Saw

  2. Push saw down and push in the locking pin to lock the saw

  3. Vacuum up all sawdust

Power Drill

Setup:

  1. Put on Safety Glasses

  2. Gather needed drill bits, battery, and drill

  3. Clamp small board or parts

  4. Clean area of any oil or debris

Drilling Small Holes:

  1. Secure the shank the drill bit in chuck by holding the clutch

  2. Start drilling slowly

  3. Once hole is started, drill as full speed

  4. Slow down drill speed when reaching the back of the material

Drilling Large Holes:

  1. Drill small Pilot Hole

  2. Ensure that material is clamped well

  3. Secure the shank the drill bit in chuck by holding the clutch on speed setting 1

  4. Start drilling slowly

  5. Once hole is started, drill as full speed

  6. Slow down drill speed when reaching the back of the material

Clean up:

  1. Vacuum or sweep up all sawdust and debris

  2. Put battery onto the charger

  3. Hang Power Drill on Drill Hanger

  4. Place clamps and drill bits back in their receptive drawers

Impact Driver

Setup:

  1. Gather needed driver bits, battery, and Impact Wrench

  2. Clamp small board or parts if need be

  3. Predrill screw hole if needed

  4. Clean off area from an oil or debris

Driving Screws:

  1. Secure driver bit into Chuck

  2. Start screw slowly by pulling trigger half way

  3. Once screw is started, drive screw in until the screw head is flush by pulling trigger all the way

Driving Bolts:

  1. Secure socket adapter in Chuck

  2. Start bolt BY HAND

  3. Once the bolt is started, drive the bolt in until the hammer sound

Clean up:

  1. Vacuum or sweep up all sawdust and debris

  2. Put battery onto the charger

  3. Hang Impact Driver on Drill Hanger

  4. Place clamps and driver bits back in their receptive drawers

Track Saw

Setup:

  1. Plug in and turn on Festool Vacuum

  2. Set up table and track

    1. Lay material on table with the marked cut line perpendicular to the fence

    2. Put track down onto material, and adjust the height of the track so that it fits flush on material

  3. Take Festool Track Saw out of its case, and place it on the track

  4. Set Blade depth:

  5. Move material so that the edge of the material lines up with the edge of the track

  6. Pull up 鈥淔ast Fix鈥 lever to allow blade to come down

  7. Press green button to adjust depth to material thickness

    1. The 鈥淔S鈥 tab is the tab we use to set the depth of the blade

    2. Use the blade screw on the green button to make small adjustments

  8. While pressing the blade down all the way, look to see that the blade teeth go past the material 1/16鈥

  9. Push down the 鈥淔ast Fix鈥 lever

  10. Adjust the Splitter Guard by loosening black screw and bring the guard down to the surface of the material, then tighten up screw

  11. Twist the vacuum hose into the track saw

  12. Plug track saw into the outlet on the vacuum

Making the cut:

  1. Put on Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs

  2. Press green thumb latch and press the saw blade down to set depth

  3. Pull trigger to run the saw

  4. Move saw along track in STEADY and SLOW manner the entire length of the cut

  5. Stand directly behind the saw while cutting to prevent binding the blade

  6. Release trigger and thumb latch to retract blade and shut off saw

  7. Unplug saw from vacuum

Clean up:

  1. Untwist vacuum hose from saw and place saw back into its case

  2. Vacuum up any saw dust

  3. Coil up vacuum hose and wrap cord on vacuum
