The UAF Graduate School is organizing a three-day writing retreat specifically for Ph.D. and master's students. This retreat is aimed at students who have completed their coursework and are currently engaged in dissertation or thesis writing; however, students working on other academic writing projects are also welcome to attend.

Beginning Sept. 28, crews will assemble to demolish the last remaining house on Copper Lane. The University Fire Department will train in the facility for a few days, practicing hose lays, ventilation, and simulated fire attack. When they are complete, the demolition contractor will demo the building and remove the debris from campus.
