Give to Philosophy

Your donations support our goals.

Your Gifts at Work

Your gifts create results we see everyday. As stewards of these valuable resources, we are striving to be worthy of investment. When you give to CLA in memory of a loved one, or simply because you care, your contribution is cherished and used to further that most human of endeavors — learning.

Program Support

Funds donated to Philosophy for a Lifetime support the Philosophy & Humanities Department at UAF's College of Liberal Arts and its' endeavors. Expenditures from this fund may include but are not limited to salaries, stipends, awards, scholarships, travel, equipment, contractual services, commodities, and representational and non-representational expenditures.

Scholarship Support

Scholarships, Fellowships and student awards have an incredible impact on our Nanook Nation! We believe that enhanced student aid, through restricted or unrestricted gifts, helps retain the most talented of students. With fewer financial concerns, these students can focus chiefly on their studies, thereby reaching their full potential. The purpose of the Walter J.  Benesch Philosophy Scholarship is to support philosophy students, based on need and recommendation by the chair of the Philosophy program.

Thank you for continuing to support Philosophy at UAF!

Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; you are not receiving any goods or services in exchange for the money you give.

If you're studying the sciences, you're studying scientific theory. There's just such a vast encompassment of what philosophy is..."Andy Witteman, B.A. Philosophy
