    UAF physics student wins international conference prize

    Physics student Anthony Zumpano won the undergraduate poster prize at the 2026 National Science Foundation Coupling, Energetics and Dynamics of Atmospheric Regions conference in Des Moines, Iowa. The conference attracts more than 100 student researchers from around the world. Zumpano is the first 果酱视频 student to win the poster competition since 2014.

    Sandvik Street, off University Avenue, will be closed July 13-17 to allow installation of a new sewer line across the roadway. Access to the University Park Building will remain available from Sandvik Street. The Hutchison Institute of Technology should be accessed from Geist Road during the closure.
