URSA accepting applications for fall mentor awards and student project awards

The office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity is accepting applications from undergraduate students for the Student Project Award, and from faculty, research professionals, post-doctoral researchers, and graduate students for the Mentor Award. Applications for both programs are due by June 7.

Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship

The application period for the 2027 John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship is open, with a June 3 deadline. Fellows work for a year with hosts in the legislative and executive branches of government in Washington, D.C. Interested students should start their applications early to allow time to collect references and other materials.

The 果酱视频 chancellor advisory search committee, in consultation with the executive search firm WittKieffer, has completed Zoom interviews with nine candidates and submitted its recommendations to University of Alaska President Pat Pitney for review and selection of candidates to advance to the next stage of the search process. President Pitney will extend invitations to a select number of candidates for on鈥慶ampus interviews, which are expected to take place during the week of May 4.

Financial Aid temporary location

Anchorage Museum to feature Sikuliaq exhibit

An upcoming exhibition at the Anchorage Museum will highlight life and work aboard the research vessel Sikuliaq. The interactive experience, 鈥淎rctic Marine Science: Sikuliaq to Shore,鈥 opens on May 15 and will continue through April 2027. The exhibition will recreate parts of Sikuliaq in the museum gallery, allowing visitors to experience actual ship-based technology and state-of-the-art science equipment.
